What is Tsunami
Tsunami is a natural phenomenon that takes many lives if it occurs. What is tsunami ..? it comes from the Japanese language which means the ocean waves (tsu meaning ocean, nami means waves). The tsunami is a series of giant waves that arise because of the shift in the seabed by the earthquake.
It’s identical to the earthquake that occurred on the seabed, rather than on the mainland. Waves generated have a 600 miles per hour speed (nearly 1,000 kilometers per hour) or the same average speed aircraft. High waves can reach 6 to 14 meters for an average size, but could also reach 30 ether. The waves could hit land over 5 to 30 minutes.
Not all tsunamis are deadly, some are small or localized. Large tsunami that could destroy a city.
Tips for Tsunami
1. If you were on the beach and suddenly saw the sea is receding more than usual, immediately ran to high ground.
2. If you were on the beach and from a distance looked high blackish longitudinal lines, it is a very high waves. Quickly run to high ground
